Drew Loika has been in industry for over a decade. A recent graduate from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Software Engineering Technology, he is very passionate about the transformative power of technology and the potential it holds. He’s been extremely lucky to have experiences ranging from self employment to ESD cubicles to Russian coworkers who kept forgetting to use English in their code comments to being the only software developer and project lead on a team of mechanical engineers building and automating a biodiesel processor. He’s led a volunteer team of faculty and students to altitudes exceeding 100,000 ft, met with US Senators, Representatives, State officials, and industry executives to advocate for sustainable biofuels and renewable energy, and competed internationally in software development with a program to educate the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Today Drew is absolutely ecstatic to have the opportunity to contribute his various skills and experiences to ECS with its global application of programs making a true difference in the daily lives of children and young adults all while searching for methods to make an even bigger difference tomorrow.

For a change of pace from computers and technology Drew likes to escape outdoors and engage in some sort of adventure. When not summiting mountains, camping in the snow, or wiping out on his bike he often engages in his favorite hobby of photography.
