Increasing Access to and Success in Postsecondary Education focuses primarily on building partnerships to remove systemic barriers that exist in current systems to improve access for individuals with disabilities. It also focuses on increasing the skill level of individuals aspiring to attend postsecondary education so that they are better prepared to enter and succeed in such programs.
Our research and work in Systems Change through Partnerships focuses on the following objectives:
Improving capacity of existing programs so individuals with disabilities can be successful
Building partnerships between programs, agencies, and high schools
Establishing ongoing communication and problem solving across partners
Our research and work in Skill Development focuses on the following objectives:
Providing for alternate demonstration of knowledge
Improving job related skills through utilization of site-based training
Providing opportunities for teachers, college staff, families and students to increase knowledge about postsecondary education and to problem solve together
