| Ms. Todd is a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, holds elementary education and severely handicapped Oregon Teaching Certificates, and is a member of the Effective Behavior Support Research Group. She is experienced in state of the art instructional strategies including curricular adaptations, specially designed individualized instruction, social skills instruction, and function-based positive behavioral support. Ms. Todd's experiences include development of school wide programs that are team-based, data-based, and focused on systems change variables in the area of positive behavioral support in schools. Ms. Todd works with staff, students, and families at district, school, classroom and individual student levels. Ms. Todd has been successful in balancing technically sound procedures with the routines, schedules, staffing patterns, cultural beliefs and time constraints of families and teachers. Ms. Todd's work has contributed to development of tools being used in schools across the country including the School Wide Information System (SWIS) and the School Wide Evaluation Tool (SET). Ms. Todd co-teaches the Design of Instruction Course (SPED 660) here at the University and participates in staff development workshops locally and nation-wide. | |
