Emma Martin, Ph.D.

Emma Martin is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at the University of Oregon, where she is responsible for teaching a number of graduate and undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Behavior Disorders, Classroom/Behavior Management, Educating Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, Providing Student Supports, and Introduction to Mental Retardation. Dr. Martin is currently the coordinator for the graduate programs of students in the College of Education who declare behavior support as the area of emphasis for their teacher preparation and Master's program. Dr. Martin has an extensive and comprehensive background in public education. Prior to her work in higher education, she worked as a special education teacher, general education teacher, and behavioral consultant. She has provided in-service training and technical support to numerous schools in the area of positive behavioral support that included functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention planning, and crisis response training.
