The mission of Administrative Staff at Educational and Community Supports is to support the institute's research, public service, and teaching initiatives by providing essential services to the organization as well as to individual project directors, students, and staff. At the present time ECS has a staff of eight employees who support the organization in the following areas:

Payroll and Accounting - Reconciliation of grants/contracts, account maintenance, contracts/invoices, closing out federal grants and contracts

Grant Proposals and Awards – Preparation of budgets, subcontracts, proposal preparation/continuation funding, submission of grants via Grants.Gov website

Administrative Duties – Securing and preparing travel approvals and reimbursements, ordering supplies, maintenance of inventory and equipment

Project Support – Correspondence, arranging meetings and conferences, data entry, assisting project staff with manuscript preparation, reports to funders, journal articles, proofing reading

Information Technology Support – Assist personnel with software set up, troubleshooting problems, setting up computers and printers

SWIS Licensing – Database entry, invoicing, income deposits, responding to queries from school personnel and facilitators, account set up, updating and editing user’s manuals

Academic Support for teaching faculty - Support the teaching, research and public service mission of the University of Oregon by providing a comprehensive human resources program to University department managers, supervisors and employees.
