The mission of the Information Services Group is to develop, support and continually innovate the information technologies important to the research, technical assistance, and services projects of ECS and its collaborators; to operate, maintain, and evolve the ECS information technology infrastructure; and to assist ECS staff in the effective and efficient use of information technologies in their work.
Our responsiblities and objectives include:

Develop, operate, and support web, Windows, and other applications.

Develop and maintain databases and their management systems.

Utilize web applications, databases, and associated technologies to facilitate the secure collection and storage of data and convenient, authorized access to it.

Manage and develop the ECS intranet for multiple purposes and audiences.

Reliably operate and enhance the ECS server infrastructure and Windows network.

Safeguard ECS data and systems through security management, a comprehensive and redundant backup system, and planning for disaster prevention and recovery.

Provide support, guidance, and development assistance with digital media and telecommunications for conferencing, training, publishing, and other purposes.

Explore new and emerging forms of information technology; collaborate with researchers and other staff to identify promising uses of them; and assist in their adoption and integration.

Provide insightful strategic and tactical information technology planning.
