Increasing Success in Post High School Outcomes is an area focused on youth with disabilities. Increasing the success of these youth after high school is a broad goal. Though there are many outcomes, our work focuses primarily on the two outcomes of employment and/or engagement in postsecondary education, especially community college and short term skills training programs.
Effective transition planning and skill development are essential in making it possible for youth to achieve better outcomes after high school.
Our research and work in Effective Transition Planning for Transition focuses on the following objectives:

Establishing effective post school goals to increase successful completion of high school and achieve transition goal

Providing for alternate demonstration of knowledge

Improving basic skills including academic skills, study skills, effective learning strategies and social skills
